The Philosophy

Why one tea?

01

Notice, don't catalog

Most apps want everything logged. We want one thing noticed. Quality over quantity.

02

Choose with intention

What tea deserves your attention today? The act of choosing is the practice itself.

03

Embrace the gaps

Days without entries aren't failures. They're days you drank casually. The dots mark ceremony.

The Practice

Gyokuro Asahi

Went Japanese today. That intense umami, almost brothy. Brewed it cooler than usual and the sweetness came through more. A reminder that slowing down applies to temperature too.

Dong Ding Oolong

A rainy morning session. The roast on this one is perfect — caramel and stone fruit without being heavy. Something about oolong on grey days just works. Extended the first steep and it rewarded patience.

2019 Yiwu Gushu Sheng Puerh

Finally cracked open this sample I've been saving. The qi hit hard by the third steep — that warm, spreading calm that starts in the chest. Thick, oily texture with notes of dried apricot and a lingering sweetness that builds and builds.
